As homeowners in Fort Wayne, Indiana, our client wanted to remodel their covered porch. We added a Sunspace Three-sunroom with Weathermaster windows to expand their outdoor space where they could relax and enjoy the sunshine like they wanted.
Challenges: A challenge the Thums' faced was that their existing covered porch was too small. Without enough room, hosting outdoors wasn't relaxing or convenient. This meant that although they had an outdoor area, it wasn't a space they enjoyed.
Solutions: The Thum's wanted to expand their outdoor space, so we added a 7' x 11' 9' concrete pad to extend the existing patio area. The Three-season Sunroom included wiring for a fan and lights, plus sun shades for the windows. The ceiling was insulated for added temperature control and the flooring was finished with Coretec Flooring in Galveston Oak.
Results: The insulation and flexibility of the Sunspace Three-season Sunroom meant that, in the end, our client could spend more time enjoying their patio area.
With the patio expansion and sunroom installed, there was room for a sofa, two rockers, and a small dining table with chairs.
Our clients' covered porch went from being too small and overcrowded to an "open-concept" sunroom with windows on all sides.
